Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University was established with the Law No. 3837 dated 03 July 1992 by the Presidency of the Council of Higher Education. Physical Education and Sports Teaching Department started its education activities in the same year under the Faculty of Education and served in Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University Anafartalar Campus. The School of Physical Education and Sports was established with the publication of the article of the Council of Higher Education dated September 23, 1998 and numbered 23472 in the Official Gazette, and since 2009 it has continued its education activities in the central campus (Terzioğlu Campus). Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University School of Physical Education and Sports was closed and replaced by Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University Faculty of Sports Sciences with the decision on the establishment and closure of the Faculty and the School depending on some Higher Education Institutions, published in the Official Gazette dated 16 February 2018 and numbered 30334. . As of the 2020-2021 academic year, Faculty of Sports Sciences; It continues education and training with four (4) departments: Physical Education and Sports Teaching, Coaching Education, Sports Management and Recreation. In addition, our faculty's Coaching Education and Sports Management departments have secondary education programs. 4 Professors, 13 Associate Professors, 10 Dr. Lecturer, 1 Lecturer His officer, Dr. 3 Lecturers, 1 Res.
